Visiting family in the United States
Seeing children, parents, siblings or grandchildren is one of the most common reasons people want to travel to America.
Does having family there count against me?
Having relatives in the United States does not automatically prevent someone from qualifying for a visitor visa. Plenty of people visit family every year.
What matters is that you qualify on your own circumstances, and that your application accurately explains the purpose of the visit and its temporary nature. Vagueness about who you are visiting or how long you intend to stay is what creates doubt, not the fact of having family there.
What we help with
Setting out the purpose of the trip plainly, the details of who you are visiting, how long you intend to stay and what you are returning to. Then preparing you to talk about it at the interview in your own words.
If a relative in the United States is paying for the trip, that is a normal thing to declare and the application asks about it directly. We make sure it is answered properly rather than glossed over.
